ONE: May the peace of Christ be with you.
ALL: And also with you.

Leader: Praise God!  For it is good to sing praises to our God.  
Congregation:  God is gracious, and a song of praise is seemly.
Leader:  Let us come into the presence of our Lord rejoicing and praising God.

We sing aloud with gladness, O God, raising our voices in praise of your name.  You have flourished your love upon us.  You have sent a messiah to deliver us.  Christ came to earth to embody your love. We gather as his body to make a joyful response to your love.  We experience your abundant love, yet we have not been as gracious and loving in sharing that love with those around us.  We tend to judge others who are not like us.  We are aware that we are not all that we could or should be.  Fill us with your Holy Spirit.  Forgive us our sins and shortcomings.  Help us to be all you have created us to be.

Leader: God has destined us in love to be God

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

O God as your children prepare our hearts to accept your Word.  Silence in us any voice but your own, that hearing, we may also obey your will; through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN
