| Prayer of Confession (Responsive) | ||
One: Trusting in God's love for us through Jesus Christ, let us confess our sin before God and one another. All: Almighty God, our world is full of corruption: power disguises itself as truth; convenience masquerades as goodness; selfish pleasure imitates love. We confess to you, O God, that we have been caught in the web of the world's sin. By the power of the Holy Spirit, save us from these deceptions and free us for glad obedience, that we may see the joy of Jesus' resurrection and receive the promise of everlasting life. Amen. |
||
| (A moment for silent reflection) | ||
| Assurance of Forgiveness (Responsive) | ||
One: Followers of Jesus, God has promised salvation to us and to all who are near and far. All: We are forgiven and can now be at peace. Amen. |

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
| Anthem | The Old Rugged Cross | Praise Band |
| Prayer for Illumination (Unison) | ||
